Since 1997, The Support Network provides a comprehensive program of professional practice support for pre-candidates, first-time and continuing candidates which includes: · a curriculum created and presented by National Board Certified teachers · pre-candidacy/orientation-April, May and June of each year or by requests to schools · Professional Practice Seminars for portfolio preparation-August to NBPTS’s deadline · additional optional seminars: cross study group, individual, & subject specific sessions · assessment center exercise preparation-August to NBPTS’s deadline · NBPTS certified trained facilitators · facilitated study groups in certificate areas · on line support · a successful program for candidates retaking entries and Take One!; network for NBCTs renewing · salary point credit available for completing the process · continuing leadership opportunities for presenters and facilitators
